Almost all other Functional Trainers and cable gyms on the market have a 2:1 ratio, which means it cuts the usable weight of the stack in half. With the custom Engineered cable system of the EXT-3, you can choose the 1:1 ratio to get the full 200lbs resistance per stack for heavy lifts like Lat Pulldowns or Leg Presses. Or, you can choose the 2:1 ratio for smaller lifts like Tricep Pushdowns and Cable Chest Flys.

Perfect Fit for Low Ceiling Basements

At 83.75" tall, the EXT-3 fits under typical 7-foot basement ceilings, where most all-in-one gyms are simply too tall.

Smith Machine That Goes Lower Than Most

Many all-in-one gyms keep the Smith bar too high off the floor, making certain movements awkward to set up. The EXT-3 allows the bar to travel much lower, down to just 11" from the floor, so exercises like hip thrusts, floor presses, and low rows are easier to position and perform properly.

Switch Between 2:1 and 1:1 Cable Ratios

The EXT-3 lets you switch between 2:1 and 1:1 pulley ratios depending on the exercise. Use 2:1 for smoother cable movements and finer resistance adjustments, or switch to 1:1 when you want the full weight for heavier strength training.
